The IMOU Cell 2 Solar is a self-sufficient outdoor camera that draws its power entirely from an integrated solar panel. Under typical UK conditions, the built-in battery stays charged throughout the day, providing continuous operation without needing to be removed for charging. It's rated IP67 — fully dust-tight and submersible — making it well-suited to exposed outdoor positions.
The built-in spotlight activates when motion is detected, illuminating the scene with full-colour footage and acting as a visible deterrent at the same time. An integrated siren can be triggered manually through the app or set to activate automatically on detection. AI person detection helps distinguish genuine intrusions from passing animals or vehicles.
Two-way audio and real-time app alerts complete the feature set. Local microSD storage is supported, with optional cloud backup through the IMOU subscription service.

As a solar-powered wireless camera, no mains wiring or cable runs are required.
Charge the battery via USB before first use if possible.
Download the IMOU app (iOS or Android) and create an account.
Add the camera via the app — scan the QR code on the device.
Choose a mounting position that receives reasonable daylight for the solar panel.
Fix the bracket with the supplied screws and mount the camera.
Adjust the angle to cover the desired area and set up your motion detection zones in the app.
Tip: Position the solar panel facing south for best charging performance in the UK. Even in overcast conditions, the panel will generate enough power to maintain the battery under typical use.
